Curtain Call

This year, Fairfield Jr. High decided to do the musical "The Music Man". Alyssa decided that she wanted to be involved with the stage crew. Ms. Loureiro assigned Alyssa to do curtain duty. Basically she stood in a rectangular-shaped box where the curtain resides when it is open and pulled a rope to open and close the curtain. It was an extremely long, boring job as she had to stand without moving for 2 1/2 hours waiting for the curtain call. Boyd and I went on Thursday night and found the musical to be quite delightful. They did 6 shows from Tuesday evening to Saturday evening with a matinee on Saturday.

Alyssa in her official gear, the microphone with which she communicates with Ms. Loureiro, the director of the play. "Open the curtain, open the curtain, OPEN THE CURTAIN!!!, OPEN, OPEN, OPEN!"

Curtain closed..............breathlessly awaiting Alyssa's grand capabilities!

Curtain open.........

Looks like she came through with the curtain thing. She will always have the memory of opening the curtain.

She is so gorgeous! How funny that she chose to be a curtain puller. I have a book that I read to Will about a little boy that wants to pull the curtain.

That's a cute picture of her. Way to support her pulling open those curtains :)
