The service project was tying 5 crib-sized quilts for the Humanitarian Center. Everyone was willing to help and appeared to enjoy themselves. Some people had never tied a quilt before and some had done a little quilt tying. Others were very experienced and used their knowledge to help the others. Quick quilt-tying lessons were given and then everyone went to work.
Because many hands make light work, at the end of the evening 5 quilts were completely tied and ready to be bound.
Can you see why my heart is smitten with these young people?

Hi Mama--love the picture of dad and grandmama, and the picture of the yarn stretched high above his head! He must have figured out that the longer it is, the less often he has to rethread the needle...only to discover it's harder to not tangle! Looks so fun, and I LOVE the post title.
