It's hard to believe that an entire year has passed since he was born.
Kalie invited us to a special birthday party just for Isaac.
She had a grilled cheese bar, strawberry banana smoothies and cups full of mandarin oranges and strawberries.
We put whatever toppings we wanted on our buttered wheat bread and then popped it into the panini press.
The sandwiches were amazing!
Kalie made cupcakes for Isaac. They were adorable. She decorated them with the number "1" and birthday hats made out of piped chocolate.
Don't you love the lime green frosting?
We ate outside in Kevin and Kalie's back yard. The weather was perfect.
Alyssa and Isaac.
Isaac is getting so mobile. He is standing up to whatever he can.
After dinner, Isaac opened presents.
This one is from....ahem...grandpa and grandma.
Boy! Once that paper was ripped off the top of the gift Isaac immediately reached inside to play with the top of the present.
It's a riding train!
Daddy helped Isaac figure out how it works.
I think he likes it!
Mom and dad got Isaac lots of fun presents including a wooden puzzle.
After gifts we went inside to eat cupcakes. A lot of my pictures turned out super dark so I'm not posting them but I do have this picture of Isaac devouring his cupcake.
Yeah. He knows which side his bread is buttered on.
I got a short video of Isaac eating not one, but two, cupcakes.
Click here to watch. Oh and please don't mind my creative videotaping. I thought it might work to turn the camera so we could get a better view. Um, it didn't turn out too well.
Sorry.
Happy birthday, Isaac! We love you!

Happy Birthday to that sweet boy! He is absolutely adorable!
Wow! You have been so busy!!! With quilting and shower repairs, air conditioning and piano recitals- isn't it amazing how we fill up the summer months and they just fly by? Good choice on the present for that handsome little Isaac. It looks like it was such a fun party.
Cannot believe he is ONE! He is darling!!!
Happy Birthday to Isaac!!

What cute pictures. I love that he is eating his cupcake while sitting on his train. Thanks so much for
Celebrating with us.
That's crazy he's one already. He really is such a cute boy. Tell Kalie awesome job on the party. Genius idea to do a grilled cheese bar...and the cupcakes were way cute!
